Iris Dubai, the open-air bar popular for its phenomenal city views, infectious vibes and live musical performances has relocated to Meydan.
The newly located Iris combines modern lounge bar design with elegance and natural free-spirited energy to the city keeping the vibrancy of its initial identity in Beirut, Lebanon.
Offering a capacity of up to 1,500 guests, Iris management wanted to spread an excellent sound coverage evenly through the 2 VIP lounges, 3 bars, and the large central area. The sound system has to accommodate background music, live performances, all the way up to professional DJ sets events without compromising on the design of the venue.
K-array sound systems, now a signature speaker for the venue after it was installed in Iris Beirut and Iris Bahrain, was the clear choice of the venue management.
The installation was done consequently with 10x KX12 and 10x KP52 distributed within the central area and 2x KP102 within the bar area, all installed in a line array configuration paired with 6x KM218 and 6x KMT18 Passive Subwoofers.
The system is powered by 6 x KA84 Amplifiers offering 24 channels of amplification at 2000W per channel.
To keep its signature mood with the extension of the sound to the restroom areas, 10x KT2C, the innovative high-quality in-ceiling loudspeakers, were installed in each restroom pod.
For reliable sound control, Symetrix was used to control the various zones within the system along with wireless remote access.
